I loved repetition. Every time I turned on a light I knew what would happen. When I flipped the switch, the light went on. It gave me a wonderful feeling of security because it was exactly the same each time.

A lot of denim companies deal with what the shoes of the season are going to look like, and proportions to what people are wearing on top. If girls are wearing big sweatshirts they'll want a skinnier jean, and if they're wearing tight tops they'll want a wider jean. You have to play in the playground of what's happening culturally.

At the end of the day girls want jeans that will make them feel confident and sexy, and high-waisted jeans tend to do that.

Every closet needs one comfortable stretchy pair of jeans, but I think the reason we have permission to do what we do is because that's already happened. Jeggings all look the same, but when you buy jeans from us, we make sure every pair has individuality.
