I think if we actually are out there and we're focusing not just in one part of the country, but if we believe that we share the values of most Americans and we fight for those values, Democrats can compete anywhere in this country.

There was polling that said, only one third of the folks even surveyed watched the debates, it's not like there's anything coming out of these debates that are really changing people's views.

I don't think the best way is to start all over. I don't want to take away employer-sponsored health care, i look at this as an add-on, not a complete teardown.

I'll give you a reason why we can't look at it as just a public health issue. In fact, I'll give you 30 million reasons. That's how much the NRA spent to make sure that Donald Trump was elected, when I was growing up, the NRA used to be a gun safety and hunting organization. Now it's a dark money field, political organization, that does nothing than drive us apart.

The biggest problem we have right now that we have with immigration is Donald Trump. He's using immigration to not only rip apart families but rip apart this country, you don't have to decriminalize everything.

You don't have to decriminalize everything, what you have to do is to have a president in there with the judgment and the decency to treat someone that comes to the border like one of our own.

Watching that last debate, folks seemed more concerned about scoring points or outdoing each other with wish-list economics than making sure Americans know we hear their voices and will help their lives.

I'm excited to be on the ground in Iowa and New Hampshire next week, talking directly to voters about the issues that matter most to them, i've won in a Trump state because I've showed up and listened to voters where they are -- and that's exactly what I'll do at these town halls and for the next 230 days until the first voters express their preference.
