The deaths of these children and educators should stand for something, not temporarily, but permanently, whether it is reinforced glass in schools, placing locks on the inside of classroom doors, selling guns with gun locks, or improving mental health programs, these are recommendations that make sense.

If you look at suburban education in New Jersey and New York, it's pretty strong, intact, doing a pretty good job. You cap taxes for those communities, can we reasonably predict it's going to be as strong 20 years from now?

Prison is a very bad place for people who have made a mistake but aren't committed to life a crime, what we know is that prison can more likely turn you into someone committed to a life of crime.

Those currently serving on death row will serve the rest of their life in prison with no possibility of ever obtaining freedom.

I am taking this commonsense step with this executive order simply because it's the right thing to do, if you can't fly without clearing government watchlists, you shouldn't be able to buy a gun.

If you can not fly due to being on a watch list, you shouldn't be able to purchase a firearm, since Congress so far as failed to act, we well.

I assured them that not only was I welcoming them but I was proud that they were coming to the The United States and coming to Connecticut, i told them that people in The United States are generous and good people but sometimes things happen elsewhere that cause people to forget about their generosity.

In moments of trial and tribulation, some people will lead in the wrong direction, hopefully some people will lead in the right direction and that's what we're trying to do in Connecticut.

But there have already been changes made in school safety and gun control measures as a result of this commission's work that have already saved lives.

There's a difference between expanding someone's potential and expanding their actual performance. Performance may measure other things, whether one's culture supports education, other socio-economic factors.
