Before we get to the point of litigation, the patient has ignored eight to ten attempts at contacting them to work out some kind of payment arrangement or qualify them for charity care, not for profit hospitals have a responsibility first and foremost to care for people without regard to their ability to pay, and we do that. We also have a responsibility to be a sustainable institution for our community, and to do that we have to be able to collect from patients who can pay.
