Ben Ray Luján never said that this would be easy, this is just the first part of what's going to be an important aspect of being able to win the House back. So I'm really encouraged.

It was with profound sadness that I heard of the passing of Ambassador Wilson, a friend and fellow New Mexican for whom I had deep respect, ambassador Wilson was a devoted patriot who put country and duty before politics and had the courage to speak the truth in the face of extreme criticism.

It's not too much to expect leaders to bring us together, to unite our country, to find a way to reach out to us, to our greater good, and make sure that we rise above all of the accusations, the hate and finger-pointing.

This commitment is important to our democracy, I'm proud to sign it, and it is my hope that the NRCC will ultimately change course and commit to this same pledge.
