For the majority of people, their brain heals, and they’re fine, [Kylee has] been one of those exceptions where it’s had a very detrimental impact. I wish I would have known to understand what brain rest was— to have her get mad at me if I took away her phone. I didn’t do everything I could as a parent to give her the optimal chance for recovery, but it wasn’t explained to me in those terms.
