I am well aware that there is such a great craving in man for heroism and the heroic, and that hero worship forms not a small motif in his complex. I am also aware that, unless man believes in his own heroism and the heroism of others, he cannot achieve much or great things. We must, however, take proper care that we do not make a fetish of this cult of hero-worship, for then we will turn ourselves into votaries of false gods and prophets.

About 66(d), the legislature is considering amendments to that particular law.

This should not be seen very narrowly as three journalists against the army or vice versa, but in general, as to whether the existing laws are in line with our desire for justice and democratization.

Our party has won an overwhelming majority of the seats but we won't take them all, as I said earlier, we will cooperate with others with the spirit of sharing our success with them based on building national reconciliation. Of course The NLD will lead. It is the mandate the people have given to us at our request.
