He always stood up for me and always supported me, and I always felt it, it gives me confidence .?.?. That kind of support, you earn that, but it’s important.

I was diagnosed with ADD when I was young and the doctor tried to give me Ritalin, and my mom said, ‘No.’ It was just her choice at the time, but I’ve lived with it, i went and had myself tested a little while ago with this doctor at UCLA and sure enough — off the charts. [My] ADD is off the charts! But I think about it and it’s really .?.?. ADA — attention deficit advantage. It’s just the other thing. Things they’re not interested in goes by the wayside, but when you [have ADD and] find what you are interested in, there’s a laser focus to it. And it’s helped me be good at what I do.
