I am a little concerned that there is more to this story than the public knows, so now I need to ask if Child Protective Services are aware Child Protective Services are under a microscope, did Child Protective Services set the kids out to play sans supervision to make some kind of point.

For some reason, we are not happy being 'just average,' moms in particular need to be 200% at everything. We need to give ourselves permission to be just 'average' at some parts of our lives and perhaps let other aspects go. That load of laundry can wait until tomorrow as reading an extra bed-time story to your child is more important.

Everybody has to stop looking at everybody else and look to within, my kids this morning had Frosted Flakes for breakfast. They had sugary cereal. Now the past two days they had eggs but today they didn't have eggs ... Mothers, I'm sure, will come after me and say, 'Lyss Stern is a terrible mother, because she gave her kids Frosted Flakes for breakfast today,' but at the end of the day it's OK.

You would overhear the mom and daughter talking about, 'Oh, isn't it great that you just filmed so-and-so. This'll be a snap. You've already been in front of this producer,' anything to get into the mind of the poor kid who is going up for an audition.

Well, lo and behold, kids in the neighborhood found out there was a 'parent-free zone' and it all ended up in disaster.
