I applaud Apple's decision to say it won't be the first and will stand on the shoulders of the giants before it, eventually we'll all get there, but there's a lot to still work out.

It seems that a product that was once derided has now become the must-have device.

The biggest thing to look for is the camera ; it's the Pixel's calling card, given the improvements by Samsung and Apple in this area, Google has to deliver an experience that is either on par or even better than what those companies have.

The lower price Apple Watch 3 is a gateway to get people to commit, comparatively speaking, you are paying 50 % less than a new model — a cost that is a lot easier to swallow.

Apple is doing what Apple needs to do by demonstrating new devices, applications and features to keep people within the Apple ecosystem and not lose them to Android.

Apple has a penchant for standing on the shoulders of the giants that came before them when announcing a feature -- such as phablets and 4G LTE, it will get there eventually, but on its own terms.

In order for BES12 to succeed it has to be viewed by all as platform agnostic, and what better way to demonstrate that other than by doing it yourself.

Charging a smartwatch is absolutely a pain point, smartwatches will need to last much longer than smartphones to avoid frustrating users.

I’m one of those people in the United States that doesn’t have an iPhone. So, that instantly precludes me.

And remember, we can make the assumption that we’ll see more [power-hungry] applications, so we could see even more battery drainage later on.

It’s a fourth display, if you will. For some people, that doesn’t exactly resonate.
