ITV has made the right decision to permanently cancel the Jeremy Kyle Show, however, that should not be the end of the matter.

This kind of TV featuring members of the public attracts viewing figures in the millions but in return for ratings, the broadcasters must demonstrate their duty of care to the people whose personal lives are being exposed.

Evidence uncovered by my Committee shows he still has questions to answer yet hes continued to duck them, refusing to respond to our invitations directly or sending representatives who dont have the right information, mark Zuckerberg continually fails to show the levels of leadership and personal responsibility that should be expected from someone who sits at the top of one of the worlds biggest companies.

I believe there is considerable public interest in releasing these documents. They raise important questions about how Facebook treats users data, their policies for working with app developers, and how they exercise their dominant position in the social media market, we don't feel we have had straight answers from Facebook on these important issues, which is why we are releasing the documents.

We are going through the documents we have received, you probably understand there is a very large number of them.

We will continue to follow the evidence in our inquiry and will give a formal response to their letter next week.

But if Mark Zuckerberg chooses not to address our questions directly, we are asking colleagues at the European Parliament to help us get answers - particularly on who knew what at the company, and when, about the data breach and the non-transparent use of political adverts which continue to undermine our democracy.

The chickens are finally coming home to roost and this sounds like a hugely significant development for FIFA, it proves that Sepp Blatter's promises over the last few years to look into corruption at FIFA have not materialised and because he has totally failed to do this, it has been left to an outside law enforcement agency to do the job and take action.

But we did not invite Sepp Blatter here today. We see him as part of the problem, not part of the solution.

There has never before been an attempt to bring together an international coalition of people from different institutions and organizations, whether it's soccer, business or parliaments, who have seen FIFA's image go from bad to worse.
