I can't imagine turning your back on the organization that gave you the platform to be who you are, at the same time, I do understand a guy who doesn't think he can play well enough anymore going. But I just have a tough time. After playing the tour for so long, turning your back on an organization and actually being somewhat detrimental to it. But I get it. I get it. It's money.

I did play some good golf after( 1990) but it was sporadic, i had a tough time getting up for practice and for Thursday and Fridays.

The comeback is much tougher than the initial climb to the top, and the toughest part of the comeback is believing in yourself, he seemed to be doing that of recent week or months. It's got to be hugely disappointing for him yesterday.

I hung it out to the right because of the lie, people don't know that yes, the ball is above your feet, but you're also hitting on a downslope, and your tendency is to hit it right because you hang onto it to make sure you hit it solidly. It took me years to figure that out.

You know, there's one reason these players are going, and one reason only, and that's the appearance money.

The whole thing is very uncomfortable — writing the name on the paper, sealing it in the envelope, you don't ever want that name to get out. You don't ever want to destroy someone's confidence. But you're obligated to put a name in the envelope.

They're all world-class players, just because one guy is not playing as good as the next one, he's one swing or one shot away from going out and shooting 65. How am I supposed to choose knowing that ?
