I do think that it is important to understand this is more than simply a little personality clash, it really is a fundamental disagreement over policy and it reflects the underlying world views that are held not just by the two men but by the two camps in each country.

It's kind of like saying, you've got a baseball batter who's in a slump and so -- what they've been doing -- they look at the videotape and instead of like doing a better swing, they just start hitting the umpire with the bat. There's been a lot of damage done that's continued through the summer and the fight over the Iran deal, there's some hope by the Prime Minister that he can begin to repair some of that damage. It's going to take a little more than a photo op at the White House or a couple of speeches at Washington think tanks to try to actually mend some of these fences.

One hopes that when out of campaign mode, the prime minster would recognize the importance of the United States strategically to Israel and would take a step or two in the direction of trying to ease the tensions.
