Is it possible that maybe the media thinks it's a bigger deal than the American people do? because American people, the majority of them, agree and they understand exactly what I am saying.

I've worked with Muslims. I've trained Muslims. I've operated on Muslims. There are a lot of Muslims who are very patriotic. Good Americans and they gladly admit, at least privately, that they don't accept sharia or the doctrines and they understand that Islam is a system of living and it includes the way that you relate to the government, and you cannot, unless you specifically, deny that portion of Islam be a Muslim in good standing. Now if that is the case, if you are not willing to reject that, then how in the world can you possibly be the president of the United States.

I personally don't feel that way, but I would certainly be willing to listen to somebody who had evidence to the contrary, i think that's one of the problems, we get to our little corners and we don't want to listen to anybody.

I said anybody, doesn't matter what their religious background, if they accept American values and principles and are willing to subjugate their religious beliefs to our Constitution, i have no problem with them.

What we should be talking about is Islam and the tenets of Islam and where do they come from? They come from Sharia. They come the Koran. They come from, you know, the life works and examples of Mohammed. They come from the fatwas, which is the writings of scholars, you know, and if you go back and you look at -- what I would like for somebody to show me is an improved Islamic text that opposes Sharia. Let me see -- if you can show me that, I will begin to alter my thinking on this.

I'm not going to be asking, 'What should I say in order to keep the media off my back?' but I'm hoping that, at some point, the media matures and recognizes that they are an important part of freedom in America.

People tend to ascribe to Adventism any weird thing they have heard about religion because they don't really know, adventism believes the entirety of the Bible.

I'm a person who has a deep and abiding faith and relationship with God, but I'm not really into a lot of religious dogma and rituals -- 'you can't do that, and you can't do this.' I don't believe in that. I believe you have to have a deep and abiding faith in God.

When I came out of that bathroom after three hours, the temper was gone, and some people say you just learned how to hide it. When God fixes a problem, he doesn't just do a paint job, he fixes it from the inside.

Some are enthusiastic but it's a small minority. I don't get much of a sense from Adventists that this is our man, this is our Adventist candidate. i don't identify myself as an Adventist.

When you get into the ins and outs of every denomination you can be picking at each other till the end of times about things you shouldn't be worried about.

I find black Republicans are treated extremely well in the Republican Party. In fact, I don't hear much about being a black Republican, i think the Republicans have done a far superior job of getting over racism.

They're seeing that 50 years of these policies have not resulted in improvement and has really resulted in worsening the situation, a lot of people in the minority community -- contrary to popular opinion, all they want is a fair chance. All they want is an opportunity to succeed.

It was founded as an anti-slavery party, an abolitionist party. The Republican Party worked very, very hard to abolish slavery and after it was abolished to try to gain rights for the freedman including the right to bear arms.

If you're black and you don't think a certain way as far as they are concerned, you're an Uncle Tom, a sellout, a traitor, you hate yourself.

The jihadists want to infiltrate our nation. We have to exercise something that even resembles common sense, that would be foolishness to take in people from a region where we don't have any way in making a determination if this person is radicalized already or potentially radicalized.

I do feel for those individuals and I think we should be helping, but the way we should help is with our expertise, perhaps with some financial help to settle them in the nations where they're coming from.

We need to be dealing with that before we start bringing in a bunch of other people, why don't we ever think about putting Americans first?

I never said that a person could not run for office. I just said I would not support them, do I not have the right to support what I want to support?
