I knew that being a woman at this sort of crossroads in history with MeToo and Times Up, I knew that my role in it would be different than that of a male lawyer, people say well wait, you're going against your gender or how dare you. But to me, there's something bigger than our gender and that's our rights.

When you ask what life is like for Harvey, all you have to do is turn on nightly news and see women screaming at him,' You're a rapist,' people have sort of made their decision in the court of public opinion and that's been my problem with a lot of the coverage.

There's a difference between sins and crimes, you may think that you don't like the way Harvey conducted himself at times or choices that he's made, but that doesn't mean he's a rapist.

I think he does see life after this, i think that's a very positive thing. I think if I was looking at the evidence we are all looking at, I would see life after this as well. I do think I'm one of the people who has said all along if we win this case, I think that he can come back even stronger.

And if this notion is to just start believing people just because they make claims, I think that challenges the criminal justice system as we know it and I think for anybody charged in these types of crimes, that's a scary proposition.

I saw( Vance's statement) and I think that it's frightening to think about a new dawn in the criminal justice system that doesn't have changes.

This is an op-ed about the jury system as a whole, about the criminal justice system as a whole.

I think he's confident. And this is a tough situation for anybody to be in.

We are here to try to pick a fair jury, this is not some conspiracy against the state.

Judge Burke did, during jury selection, Mr. Weinstein has much downtime outside the presence of the jury pool. He is not reading in the courtroom.

Just because you're a woman doesn't mean you can beat up in a way the jury finds offensive.

If you don't want to be a victim, don't go to the hotel room.

In a case where multiple women will be taking the stand to testify, it's a different dynamic when you have a female involved in the defense.

He cheated on his wife, he was dishonest about that, he had multiple women he slept with at different points and he would say that those were bad choices, he's lost everything for those bad choices. Nobody is trying to claim that he is a saint and that he never did anything wrong... I don't believe Harvey is a rapist.

Obviously this case has a lot more notoriety and press involved with it, but that's a concern in any case, once 12 people are put on that bench and they realize the gravity of it, they really want to be fair.
