I know how hard it is as a person starting out, and I didn't want my daughter to be in debt as well. I wanted her to concentrate on school and not have to worry about the pressures of debt and income.

Unfortunately I didn't have any other choice. When you go as an adult it's really hard to get scholarships and things like that. But I just knew it was something I always wanted to do and needed to do and of course wanted to be a role model for my kids.

I would never tell someone not to go to college. But you really need a whole village to navigate the system. It's a struggle to get through all the red tape and the paperwork.
