Got a bit tricky this afternoon, i didnt pay too much attention to this mornings scores. Saw a scoreboard at one points 9 (under), 8, 7s, 6s and I knew it was on. This golf course, if youre playing well, you can take it on and challenge it. ... If youre not 100 percent on your game, you have to play conservatively.

The putter wasn't quite as warm today as it was yesterday. Took a bit of a day off, i felt like I had to have a day where I pieced everything together to win.

I didn't have my 'A' game this week, and to contend in a major with no game, really, I take the positive from that, i worked really hard to be in this situation with my game this week. Obviously didn't quite have it early, but did a brilliant job of hanging around.

At this point, theres not a lot to worry about, if youre one ahead, one behind, its a lot of golf to be played. But its the perfect spot after two days.

There's a long way to go, and yet here and St. Andrews would probably be the two most iconic places to lift a bit of silver.

My short game has been really, really strong this week, i've made a lot of putts inside ten feet. I've managed my game really well. I've missed it in the wrong spots. I've always given Justin Rose an opportunity to salvage something out of every hole I've played. And I haven't compounded any mistakes so far.

Obviously a fun day of golf, i was three-under par, had a rough patch, had to scramble, work hard, keep my round together.

I'm into a run of golf now. There's a block of work starting this week, there's no way to fake it around Bay Hill. The rough's pretty thick, generally greens are quite firm which requires pin-point iron shots. There are a lot of intimidating looking shots.

It's never straightforward, is it, but I think that obviously we're here to support The European Tour, for me, I think I can only commend their vision in terms of growing the game of golf.

Double-digits sounds really cool. Winning is never easy, when you've beat a class field on a great venue, that satisfies you as a player. It's a win-and-a-half mentally.

The first six holes anything that could go wrong did go wrong, in the past I might have got a little rattled, a little shaken by that start but I didn't today.

Three sixes on the card, I played great golf today, i was maybe close to shooting 63. When I messed up I messed up big, but I'm pleased with the way I responded to the doubles. I was happy with the way I played.

Job was done today, it was nice to play a positive round and feel good so I can build on that hopefully going into the weekend.

I think I missed only one fairway, so from the fairway I had some control of the ball, i hit a couple of poor shots, but a couple of miraculous up-and-downs kept the round going.

This week was a big step in the right direction, taking the range game to the golf course, there is always a little bit of a lag effect, you know you see your progress on the range long before you see it on the golf course.

I am delighted the way I played this week, i haven't played this venue in a while but to win on a golf course like Colonial I couldn't be more proud.

I don't think I can just rest on my laurels and shoot even par tomorrow. I've got to go forward I think, i'm going to go out and just try to be doing what I've been doing that last few days and executing my shots and go from there.

I'm happy with the way I played, it was nice to get going and to build up that lead. No one seemed to do too much behind me today so I felt like it was in my hands to get as far ahead as I could.

I did a lot of good things today. The end of my round got a little scrappy but until the last three holes it was pretty flawless... about as good as I could play today.

I feel like if I didn't play here it was going to be a little spotty going into the Open, i wanted to play enough golf where I'd have a read on my game going into Shinnecock. All aspects of my game are showing signs.
