Formally, according to the rules they can compete and courts have cleared them after the end of their bans to do so. Morally, however, it is questionable.

Other people in the sport have taken the same medication I had for ADD and only got warnings, i didn't.

You can never doubt yourself. I've been in these situations a couple of times where leading up to the championships I've not been competing at my best, but I know when it comes to the championships I have a different mindset going into them, and when I get there my whole vibe just changes.

Growing up, to even speak of a 19.3, that's Michael Johnson, you can't even say the words that you look up to that, or look up to him, 19.3 was something unfathomable.

I'm going to go out there and give 100 percent effort every time I have an opportunity to do so. If 19.3 is in the scope then I'll go for that, but right now to even think about that, I have to think about the great Michael Johnson and what he's brought to the track and field world. I'm just honored to be able to say I'm on that short list of Americans who have run that fast.

A lot of people think it was a gift and a curse, i think it gave me a little more shelf life to come back. But it also gave me a little more push to come back and prove I am Justin Gatlin.

I was happy to stay. I'm fit and ready to run. I was cramping a lot after the fastest my body has ever run, they didn't have any respect for me so they said' you better leave' and they kicked me out.
