Every Olympics is something special. If you're fortunate enough to play for your country - there's just so much energy. It's truly amazing.

You know, growing up my - you know, I came from Compton, Calif., and, you know, it was a place where a lot of people did come out when a lot of people stayed. So I've been able to see the top and the bottom of life, and I think that balances you if you allow it to and if you remember where you came from.

I think she believed in me, she was rooting hard but didnt seem panicked at all after I lost the first set.

I just tried not to go too big, because I can go so big and I have a lot of power and it's not always easy to control it, so I'm trying to play smart instead of going hog wild, which is extremely easy to do.

I think I'm just going to approach her like every other match I have been approaching. My routine has been working pretty well so that's how I'm going to go into the match, i like to look at prank videos on YouTube and listen to music. I love music that keeps me calm before matches, because obviously when you get out there there's a lot of nerves anyway. Yeah, I like to find my own space, put some relaxed music on.

I wasn't expecting any of this. A lot of celebrities were DM'ing, posting me. I'm kind of star struck. It's been hard to reset, there's so much going on. I'm still shocked that I'm even here.

I didn't realise that until after the match looking at the stats, i've never had a match before like that in my life.

I feel definitely more comfortable going into that match than, for example, today, i had never played( McHale) before, so you feel like you don't really know what's going to happen. I don't know honestly. I'm still trying to figure it out, every day is not your best day but that doesn't mean the heart and desire aren't there.

Game-wise I feel like I'm, like, as good as anyone else. But I just feel like maybe mentality-wise there's certain things to do in certain situations that I'm not that aware of.

I think the bodies have made their decision, and she has an opportunity to come back and continue her career, i think she should be allowed to continue that. If people want to give her wildcards, I guess that's the tournaments' decision as they weigh other wildcards.

It's never easy, but anything worth having is usually something you have to work for, i've definitely faced unexpected challenges, but I'm not going to be the first or the last person or athlete to overcome health issues to be their best so I look at it as something that hopefully encourages other people who are having chronic health issues.

It was enough of a fairytale to come here and play, a win would have been nice, but that means I have to come back, play next year.
