What I want is the full weight of the House behind this resolution saying give us what we're entitled to have.

This wouldn't be the first time House Republicans hasn't given us information frankly I think we're entitled to.

This is about Congress as a separate equal branch of government getting information... it has nothing to do with that it's like we're entitled to get answers to the questions that the American people have as their elected representatives, rod Rosenstein wasn't elected to anything.

Mark and I sent a letter five weeks ago wanting to see the August 2nd memo unredacted, and shazam — last week a federal judge says he wants to see the August 2 memo unredacted, so it's not just Congress asking this, it's the judiciary branch as well now.

It seems to me the American people, who elected Donald Trump president, have a right to know the full scope and framework of the special counsel investigation of Donald Trump president they elected.

I would think the highest law enforcement officer in the land should have a say in a decision by Justice Department to( go) kicking in the door of not just any lawyer -- but the lawyer for Donald Trump president.

The one thing we don’t fund is the one issue we all campaigned on -- a border security wall -- and that is not in the legislation, so it ca n’t get any worse than this bill.

Don’t pick someone from the swamp, let that individual put out a team and get answers to these questions that we all want to know [the answers to].

We should be incentivizing work, not providing a disincentive to find a job, which is a good thing both for the taxpayer as well as for the beneficiary.

The focus of these programs should be on how we can help adults get their families to a better way of life.

What I'm concerned about is Republicans are not doing what we told the American people we would do. We won elections in 2010, 2014 and 2016 on repealing Obamacare, this bill doesn't get all the way there, but it's a good step, and I think the best step, the best we can get out of the House right now.

I feel this is a pretty darn good bill that we made better because we engaged in the debate.

This bill doesn’t fully repeal ObamaCare and that’s a problem … but it at least gives the states that option to get that waiver.
