It's an issue that Democrats and Republicans seem to come together on, the over-influence of money in politics and in power.

Every single day there are communities and people in communities who are hurting in real deep ways. The problems that they're suffering from are very nuanced, but they're granular in nature and they require real intentional planning in order to begin to lift the burden off of some of these communities that have been generationally and inter-generationally plagued by those kinds of problems. The challenge will remain. Whether we can rise to it, will the establishment rise to those challenges is a different question.

I have the lived experience of a Black man in America, also raising Black kids, but I also have the lived experience of being a responsible person who is responsible for the resourcing and the outfitting of a law enforcement agency.

We are going to commit ourselves to registering and engaging 1 million voters between now and 2020s presidential election, we can deny Donald Trump a second term. This is not the sexy work, Ive got to admit. Im sure its probably more fun for some of those out there running for president. This is the hard work of democracy.

We've got to demand a more perfect union, we have to demand a process that is more fair, we have to reject the belief that a signature difference is enough for somebody's entire vote to be dismissed. We've got to get rid of these arbitrary deadlines.

And it seems that Mr. DeSantis and his supporters can't get my name out of their mouth enough, long enough, to talk about what they want to do proactively and affirmatively for the people in the state of Florida.

The truth is that these occurrences have become far too frequent in our society, i would ask that the community continue to lift up the victims, those who are still recovering from their injuries.

The congressman let us know exactly where he was going to take this race the day after he won the nomination, the' monkey up' comment said it all and he's only continued in the course of his campaign to draw all the attention he can to the color of my skin.
