I want to be with the man who wants to open a movie studio with me and make films for new, fresh filmmakers who aren't getting a chance somewhere else. I haven't yet had that type of partnership in a romantic relationship.

It was just this moment where I just remember loving life and being so happy and I hold it so dear because the older we get, the harder it is to get to that feeling.

We're not doing this for public attention... I would like to move forward in a more honest fashion that is more conducive to my mental peace.

It was something that I realized just did not serve me and my life.

Maybe people think, like, I figured out so many problems when I was young, because it was so hard then, we continue to confront things with each decade of our life that almost surpasses what we thought we had seen. I'm interested in that conversation -- we don't fix it, move on and it never breaks again. We are on that roller coaster.

I do feel like I'm on an upswing. I just went through a couple of hard years, and I can see it wearing on my face, it's not about aging, it's about how I am on the inside.

I feel that there's a human being at the core of this. But since she put herself out there more... she's the key to her freedom, this is about her and her life and everybody deserves the freedom to make mistakes or a success of their life and everything in between. That is what a life is.

When you're a parent, you try to compensate with so much love and you're almost afraid to get into the argument, so you let things slide and then you're like, 'Oh, there should've been a boundary in that place probably a while ago,'but I guess I'm only realizing that now.

But I do have the red cowboy hat I wore in E.T. It is in the girls' room somewhere and reminds me that I was 6 years old wearing that hat, i'm so glad I still have it.

I didnt deserve to go there, my mom and dad were just very strict and sheltered when I lived in LA. I wasnt allowed to go on dates, couldnt wear makeup, couldnt go to a school dance. They just didnt want me to grow up. Then I moved to New York and thats when my life changed.

I am not one person, I am not one mood, I am not one thing, I am such a mixed bag Drew Barrymore, i want a show that represents all of the different things that we are interested in.

And I also believe people should not say the word never, and I will never, with a capital N-E-V-E-R, never get married.

Cut it this has not worked or be Elizabeth Taylor, and I have too many more to go. I never want to be entwined with someone like that again ever. You break up, and you move on. You get divorced, and its just so different. I love that we are trying to hold on to an institution that [started] when the closest person to you for companionship was a three-day horse ride away and your life span was 30 years.

Ive tried it. I went on a couple of dates. A lot of people totally ghosted me, and one time I was waiting to go on a date, and at the time we were supposed to meet he just wrote, Yeah, I cant. But Id rather hang out with my friends.
