This is a personal thing for me. I definitely want to go out there and secure the victory in violent fashion for my friends, my family, my fans and everyone who is going to be at the Staples Center, but to be honest KSI just happens to be the guy in the ring for me. This is the end of a redemption arc that has changed my life so, for me, the only demon I'm fighting in the ring is myself.

It's just how I work, i go out there every day and just try to give it my all. It feels good to have it come when it matters.

Not having a power metre meant I didn't look down at the numbers and think, 'Hey back it off'. It was just full gas from the beginning and I managed to pull it off.

Some days I'm stiffer than others. Yesterday I was out there hitting it great, driving it out there with Brooksy and DJ, and today I'm stiff. Hopefully I'm not that way tomorrow.

I really took that to heart and this entire season my whole team has just been trying to keep everything a little more light hearted, i still have the full level of focus that I've always had but I'm just trying to remember that at the end of the day it's ski racing — we're not at war.

That was a weird match. We moved indoors because of all the rain. Zero atmosphere. No one there. It was a bizarre match. Super-fast courts. I won two tiebreakers, but I can't draw anything from that, he's certainly one of the best young players we have in the game today. He's got a lot of talent and a lot of ability, but maybe I have experience on my side. We'll see which one comes out on the better side of things on Monday.

He is not directing me as much as we are learning. It is my job to learn him first and I am still learning. Then to figure out what is it that keeps you from a feeling in full flight and problem-solve, that requires trust -- trust that I am going to learn him first and trust from him that he is going to buy into it and believe it and you remove all the hesitation that happens in a tennis court that keep someone from executing at their highest level.

This illness is behind me now. I'm just grateful I went through it really well, i have a whole new outlook on life. I really appreciate the time I have out on the court.

I was putting really well again today, had 24 putts again today and did that two times last week in Japan.

Out of the previous nine times we've played I think we've gone three sets at least six times so I know she plays really well, she's been number one, she's won a grand slam. I knew it was going to be a big test for me today and I'm really happy I was able to get through.

There's definitely a lot of pressure... I would like to win the Connecticut Open in order, probably more than anyone else, whether I do or not, I'm going to try win it this year or next year and just keep going for that. So, it's not the end of the world.

It’s unusual for me to finish 23rd but things like this happen from time to time and I knew it would be hard for me to stay in contention after such a mistake.

I did the best I could but with these conditions I just couldn’t do any better. I fought hard but podium places were out of reach for the highest bibs. That’s part of the game.
