In spite of a series of worrying actions taken by North Korea recently, the momentum for dialogue remains unshaken.

We can't rule out the possibility that the situation would be prolonged, despite our diplomatic efforts to resolve the issue, it is a very regrettable situation, but we have no choice but to prepare for all possibilities.

It is not desirable at all...that Japan takes measures that deal a blow to our economy because of political purpose and makes remarks that link the measures to sanctions on North Korea.

We will seek international cooperation as the measures will naturally have an adverse impact on the global economy.

The second summit would be a venue where they settle on terms of what specific measures North Korea will take and how those moves will be reciprocated by the United States, but U.S. forces in South Korea or strategic assets in places like Guam and Japan are not linked with North Korea alone, as they exist for the stability and peace of the entire Northeast Asia.

I expect we'll hear about high-level talks between North Korea and the United States before long for their second summit.

The most important thing is that it will be a fundamental solution to protecting the lives and safety of the people by reducing the number of deaths from overwork, industrial accidents and sleep-deprived driving.

I am willing to talk candidly with Chairman Kim Jong Un to find a balance between the US' demands for denuclearization and North Korea's request for dropping hostile policies and enforcing measures to secure their safety, i believe that the denuclearization issue can be progressed at a rapid pace if the two leaders face each other again and talk.

If Chairman Kim (Jong Un) keeps the promise of denuclearization, he will be able to lead his country into prosperity, this path is never easy, but if the agreements at the summit are implemented with sincerity, the goal can be achieved.

If the leaders do not honor the promise they themselves made with the international community watching, they will be subject to grave judgment.

There are various opinions about the meeting, but the most important thing is that the talks have made it possible for people around the world, including the people of the US, SK and Japan, to escape the threats of war, nuclear threats and the threats of long range missiles.
