In macro terms at least, the worst of the crisis looks like it is over for the euro zone and certainly my own 'misery indices' are looking less bad.

China obviously needs watching. When a $10-1/2 trillion economy which accounts for about a half of the world's commodity demand slows we need to take notice, but I'm increasingly reassured that they have the policy buttons to press and are pressing them.

Markets have yet to be convinced in full either that the exit door will be open or that the extent of any contagion from this could be irreparably damaging to the system.
