Every person alive today has at some point said or done something that another person finds objectionable, whether they mean to or not, people are being forced to think twice before stepping into the public realm because there will always be a group of people intent on picking through your past with a fine-tooth comb to uncover reasons to attack you.

This affair illustrates that cancel culture is currently operating at full force in this country.

It pains me that these past incidents and comments have cast such a shadow on Jeopardy ! as we look to start a new chapter.

That was what happened to Drew Carey on' The Price Is Right,' drew Carey got destroyed for years and then at some point, everyone looked up and was like,' Oh Drew Carey, I really like that guy.' That's exactly what will happen here.

We aren't looking for a three-year host, we're looking for a 10-year or a 20-year host, stability is one of the show's strengths, so we need to consider who's got a 20-year horizon and who can focus on Outstanding Game Show for Jeopardy and make Outstanding Game Show for Jeopardy great over that time.

Johnny will be the announcer of ‘Jeopardy!’ as long as he would like to be the announcer of ‘Jeopardy!’ i have told him that, and it’s just how he is, humble. He’s never taken the job for granted.

If you just listen to the way Johnny articulates each name, each word, he has a voice and even more importantly, delivery, unlike anyone else.

Alex was a legend, revered by all of us, i want to thank our guest hosts, who will not only help all of us celebrate his great legacy, but also bring their own touch to the show.

Do you believe in them when they’re making a ruling in the game? the host of ‘Jeopardy!’ is the arbiter of the game. So do you buy them going, ‘Yes, that’s correct’?

During his last day on set, Alex extolled the virtues of everyone opening up their hands and their hearts to those who are suffering, donating his wardrobe to those who are working to rebuild their lives is the perfect way to begin to honor that last request.

Alex believed in the importance of' Jeopardy !' and always said that Ken Jennings wanted the show to go on after Ken Jennings, we will honor Alex's legacy by continuing to produce the game Alex Trebek `` Alex loved with smart contestants and challenging clues. By bringing in familiar guest hosts for the foreseeable future, our goal is to create a sense of community and continuity for our viewers.

Throughout that time, Alex was open and public about his battle with cancer, this is an enormous loss for the Jeopardy ! staff, crew and all of Alex's millions of fans. He was a legend of the industry that we were all lucky to watch night after night for 37 years. Working beside him for the past year and a half as he heroically continued to host Jeopardy ! was an incredible honor.

It's just who Alex Trebek was -- Alex Trebek craved knowledge, and it showed.

He loved that' Alex Trebeks death `` Jeopardy !' popularized intelligence and it was important for him, i think he really became synonymous with the show, in that he really was that smart.
