It's a shame that people of malicious intent would mark such a solemn day with hate. What they don't realize is that these kinds of attacks against the Jewish people will only serve to make us stronger. We are confident that the DC police department will do all it can to find the perpetrator(s).

Since the BDS Movement has escalated on campus, Jewish students have reported more incidents of anti-Semitism and hate speech against Israel, including calls for Israel’s demise, support for violence against Israelis, spray-painted swastikas, and more, the comments by UCLA student council members are an indication of how the line between legitimate criticism and anti-Semitism has become blurred.

Its inability to condemn the antisemitism present here without simultaneously including in its statement other forms of discrimination not currently at issue, only serves to further marginalize the Jewish members of the school’s community. The administration has a crucialopportunitytoshow moral leadership and communicate to its Jewish students, staff and faculty that they are equally valued members on this campus because antisemitism and discrimination like this will not be tolerated.

This is an ugly,aggressive act of anti-Jewish bigotry.We are grateful to Waste Management for taking swift action that sends the right message to companies around the world thatbehavior like this will never be tolerated.

Trying to separate Jews from the idea that JEWS were targeted on their holy day at their house of worship, is a mistake and it is insulting and disappointing, it is also dangerous to downplay an attack against Jewish people as being something else at a time of rising anti-Jewish bigotry that we should all be paying attention to. It makes no sense to try and separate Saturday's hostagecrisis from the people who suffered and who were the most impacted: Jews, their Jewish families and the Jewish world.

We remain deeply appreciative of the work they did thatday to rescue the hostages.

The man looked for a synagogue near the airport, had the rabbi contact another rabbi in New York that he felt could move the meter on the release of Aafia Siddiqui,there were antisemitic slurs during his rant as well as by Siddiqui during her trial. There must be no question that he targeted Jews.

It is very concerning that the [DSG] president has chosen to veto recognition of Duke’s SSI chapter based on the misguided notion that calling out false and inflammatory anti-Israel rhetoric online is unethical. SSI had every right to respond to the polemics, and the student who posted her opinion about having an SSI group on campus should have expected a response to her antisemitic comment.Penalizing the SSI group for responding to an antisemitic comment represents a double standard.We call on Duke’s student government to reverse this poor decision.
