What Kim Jong Un has said publicly and in discussions is that he is prepared to negotiate to achieve complete denuclearization of North Korea, those words are important, but we'll see what they mean.

It is much more realistic to actually see it here, i wondered how they felt when holding hands, and now my curiosity has been satisfied.

We should be hopeful and encouraged by the events in Panmunjom( inside the DMZ), but we also need to keep a clear-eyed view of the nature of the Kim Jong family regime, and the history of its aggression, threats and provocations, stated claim to unify the peninsula under the North's control, and the documented human rights atrocities that are being committed against some 25 million Koreans living in the North, can a one-day event change the nature of the brutal Kim Jong family regime that has existed for some seven decades ? We should never forget the people living in severe oppression in the north while we admire the charm offensive conducted by Kim Jong Un.

We have reached big agreements before but were unable to fulfill them … There are skeptical views on whether the meeting today will yield meaningful results, if we maintain a firm will and proceed forward hand-in-hand, it will be impossible at least for things to get worse than they are now.

I feel like I’m firing a flare at the starting line in the moment of (the two Koreas) writing a new history in North-South relations, peace and prosperity.

We will make efforts to create good results by communicating closely, in order to make sure our agreement signed today before the entire world, will not end as just a beginning like previous agreements before today.

We're not naïve in this process. We've seen some steps in the right direction but we have a long way to go.

A successful summit would consist of actions by both sides to lock in these commitments -- which are reversible -- and start a sustained process to achieve further, verifiable constraints on North Korea's nuclear capability and reduce the risks of conflict.

We expect the summit will confirm the denuclearisation will (of North Korea), and hope to have a comprehensive agreement with the North on the matter.
