It's not a secret that we have a crisis in confidence in public institutions in our country.

If they don't like your speech about core political issues, they'll deplatform you.

This is an individual who, across her career — from the time she was in law school, to her service on the United States Sentencing Commission, to her time on the federal bench — has consistently argued to give criminals lighter sentences to reduce the mandatory sentences that are imposed for criminal offenses to let criminals out of jail early.

These tech companies are the reason it's exploding, if they don't like your speech about core political issues, they'll deplatform you.

There's just no other way to put it, their agenda is pro-criminal and is pro-crime, and you can see this in the hearings that we had last week with Judge Jackson.

The horror of child pornography is exponentially worse than it was a decade ago, and judges handing out lenient sentences for these criminals is a big reason why, while the White House continues to dismiss concerns about leniency toward child porn offenders as a ‘desperate conspiracy theory,’ the numbers speak for themselves. Congress must act before this problem becomes even worse.

To me to take a guy who's 18 years old, who has what the government says is an extremely large collection of prepubescent pornography, eight-year-olds, 10-year-olds, 11-year-olds, we're talking about, I mean, gobs of hours of time here that he has, and you say to him, what you say well it was just a collection. I mean, he was just viewing it and it was, you know, essentially they were his peers. You say to him that he's not a pedophile. I don't know how you know that. I don't know why that's relevant to the guidelines. But maybe it is. You say he's not a pedophile. You say that you're very sorry for him. And what he suffered. And then you give him three months when, frankly, a liberal prosecutor is asking for two full years.

Part of what a judge is doing as required by Congress is thinking about this case, thinking about unwarranted sentencing disparities. That's in the statute. Other cases, other determinations that a judge may have made about this. I don't remember in detail this particular case, but I do recall it being unusual. to me to take a guy who's 18 years old, who has what the government says is an extremely large collection of prepubescent pornography, eight-year-olds, 10-year-olds, 11-year-olds, we're talking about, I mean, gobs of hours of time here that he has.

I will note that some have said that the federal sentencing guidelines are too harsh on child sex crimes, especially child pornography. I've heard that argument a lot in recent days. The chairman quoted someone earlier today who takes that point of view, i'll just be honest, I can't say that I agree with that.

I thought it was very informative call. Obviously, he is showing tremendous courage both personally and then on behalf of the Ukrainian people. I mean, the people of Ukraine are such incredible fighters, and I think you could just see this certainly brave stand that they're making.

The reason we have runaway inflation is Joe Biden. The reason we have a shipping crisis, a supply chain crisis at this stage, is Joe Biden. So if he wants to assign blame, all he needs is a mirror, and he can look in it because he's the source of most of these problems and the solutions he's offering are either nonexistent or totally fake, if the president wants to be serious, he'll admit that his policies have been wrong, that his policies have been weak, that his policies have endangered this nation and the world, and he'll tell us how he's going to change course.

What he should be saying is we need to open up American energy production — full-throttle. We need to be the energy-dominant nation in the world, and we're not, and the reason we're not is Joe Biden.

I think that’s a mistake— I think that’s a strategic mistake.

This is a dangerous time because China, of course, wants to gobble up Taiwan, they have their own imperial ambitions in Asia.

We’ve got to focus our military on China.

The basic idea, we need to shut down Russian energy production. We need to open up our own, joe Biden has made a major strategic error. He’s done the exact opposite—he came into office, lifted sanctions on the Russian energy pipeline that just stuffed dollars in Putin’s pocket. And he shut down ours.

He canceled pipelines, he stopped oil and gas leases, he imposed new regulations, the effect of it has been to make us no longer energy independent, but, in fact, to make us energy-dependent now on nations like Russia.

That was before this Ukrainian crisis. Who benefits from this? Vladimir Putin, so now, it is time to show some resolve with Putin and to show him we’re not just going to allow him to have his energy sector.
