It's unacceptable that untold numbers of communities elsewhere were victimized by gun violence today too, we are not powerless to act. We can stop this carnage by passing commonsense laws, like gun licensing, that keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people who should not have them.

The act of anti-Latino, anti-immigrant hatred we witnessed this past weekend did not start with the hand that pulled the trigger, it did not begin when a single white supremacist got into his car to travel 10 hours to kill as many human beings as he could.

New Jersey is clearly made in an inappropriate representation of a black person and instructs people to' slam' and' whack' her, racism has no place in the world and I will not tolerate it, especially not in this district. When I saw Feel Better Doll in person, I cringed and was truly disheartened by the thought of a black child being beaten by another child or an adult for pure pleasure. To have a product depict or teach children that it is OK to hit another child, regardless of race, in order to feel good is sick.

When Trump does these things, it brings up the same feelings that I had over 50 some years ago, and it's very, very painful, it's extremely divisive and I don't think this is becoming of the President of the United States of America.

I hear gunshots in my neighborhood, i hope I'm the only one on this panel here that had several people shot in their neighborhood just last week... For millions of Americans this is not a policy issue. This is urgency.... I'm tired of hearing people( say) all they have to offer is thoughts and prayers....
