It was probably the best zone and best focus I've ever been in, i knew I was playing well, but I really didn't know how many under I was for the day, and I just kind of kept playing. It doesn't happen very often in golf, and it's really fun to happen. It's probably maybe only the second time it's ever happened to me.

I mean, I know that he's going to try. I just, I don't see him ever playing if he can't play well. He doesn't strike me as a guy that's like, he's played at home and he's shooting a bunch of 75s and 76s and he's like 'Alright, I'm gonna give [the Masters] a try this year.' Like that's not really gonna be him, at least to my understanding, or from what I know of him.

Fourballs is obviously a lot easier, you’re playing your own ball. Realistically you don’t even have to talk to your partner. You kind of do your own thing and it’s easier to get in a rhythm. But foursomes I think it’s pretty important to put two personalities together, two friends together, two guys that get along, maybe their games complement each other.

I thought that was cool, and he beat me that day. I think I finished third, I don’t know, second. I didn’t play very well.

I remember it like it was yesterday, fourball is pretty kind of lenient on who goes first, who doesn’t, but he was just like, do you want to go first or me? He knew it was going to take a couple holes for me to settle in and I rode my horse until I finally got comfortable.

When you start behind like that, unfortunately, you just don’t have the luxury of shooting a 1 over or 2 over the first round, and I salvaged a good round out there and feel like I can easily go out there and shoot 6 or 7 under one of these next three days. And hopefully I do.

The 590 yards can play 500 or 490 when you get that much wind.

I ’m not going to pay any attention to it.

Guys like Tiger Woods and Phil that have pushed the game, got the game of golf where they are, they deserve to be where they’re going to be on that list, anybody that thinks otherwise, I just highly disagree with it.

I ’m not going to do anything differently. I ’m already pretty active on social media, i ’m already pretty active in trying to help out other media outlets or other organisations, charities. I ’m just trying to play good golf, and the rest will take care of itself.

When he's on, it's really impressive, the sound his ball makes when it comes off his irons ... it's a short, compact move. It's fun to play with and it's fun to watch.

We had hoped for better things out of the Biden Administration ... and now those hopes have been dashed.

They had to do what they had to do, they are a huge global brand, and I have to respect their decision. I was n’t disappointed, because I put them in a terrible position.

It’s not a word I use, but for some reason it was in there and that’s what I ’m trying to figure out... why it was in there, like I said, it’s going to be part of this process and training program, whatever I need to do, not only to prove to Justin Thomas of the U.S. but to prove to my sponsors and prove to the people who do n’t know who I am that is indeed not the person I am.

I've had two 62s here, and you can get it going, i felt like today was tough. I've never played this place with this kind of wind.

For some reason I was supposed to win this week, i got very, very lucky to even have that putt. I got very fortunate, but I also stuck to my process and tried to stay positive.
