It would be a Saturday massacre – worse than that, without a doubt there will be an impeachment effort.

The so-called process was clearly drafted to protect the institution rather than the most vulnerable, survivors have to sign a never-ending nondisclosure agreement just to start the complaint process, which is unheard of in the private sector, then continue to work in their office alongside their harasser.

We have a problem with a system that is really there to protect the accused, and to diminish the victim, and to the victims, I’ve talked to who have current cases before the Office of Compliance, it’s a nightmare what they have gone through.

We are escalating in an area I think we should be deescalating in, coupled with what happened in Yemen, what happened in Syria, these are efforts that are made to suggest that we will be engaging in wars in three different countries simultaneously.

I think if we are going to put boots on the ground, we have to authorize the use of force, that should be something debated by the Armed Services Committee and by the full House. We must engage in wars first by evaluating them and Congress taking action, not by allowing the President to act independently, which has been going on now for two decades.

This was all a smokescreen to cancel a public hearing, as far as I'm concerned, that's obstruction of justice.
