Moms back then in our neighborhood ... would bundle the kids up in multiple layers and lock them out of the house 'til dark, leaving us to build snow forts, sled down the hill or shovel driveways for extra spending money, how times have changed! Fast-forward to today. What is a mom to do when there's a blizzard in cold climates (or heavy rain and flooding in California)? Instead of locking the kids out, moms are overprotective and keep the kids inside.

I don't think millennial women feel that same sense of urgency for a woman president because they are young, haven't waited an eternity like my generation and their thinking is there is always the next presidential election four years after this one is over to look toward, i also think Hillary's own age may simply have less appeal and relevancy to those female voters who are much younger than she is.

On top of that, 10 years ago, I was rear-ended by a guy on his smartphone and can still picture my amazement when he got out of his car to survey the damage he caused without even removing the cell phone from his ear to stop the conversation he was having.

We really didn't worry that something would go wrong ... because he has proven how responsible he is, unfortunately, I can't say the same about our triplets, now 17, who we have deemed not to be mature enough to be left alone overnight, much less for a week while we travel abroad because they tend to be unintentionally careless.
