My approach will be to be unconventional and how we fight these issues, you know, try to do what we can to take them directly to the people through ballot initiatives to campaign for ballot initiatives, bringing, you know, exposing things via social media and media that people just aren't aware.

They're not addressing the fact that we have more than doubled up rates of chronic absenteeism due to quarantine policies. You know, we have situations where we're unnecessarily testing and that's causing problems and invasive. Schools are spending a lot of money on tests and other unnecessary procedures, when they really could be doing things to make up the difference.

We believe that our state, as well as teachers unions, probably had an influence over this change, it's basically mask indefinitely in schools forever, and there is no off-ramps. So it's really disappointing to see that.

They removed all off-ramps, so other mitigations, removing masking – even if COVID prevalence goes down to zero or vaccination rates increase – the CDC guidelines do not recommend removing these protocols for schools like they previously did.

A lot of parents fear that Newsom has only allowed schools to be open in the fashion that they are now because of the recall, and that if cases increase this winter, he would impose school closures, we fear that he's waiting to do more until after the recall.

Nonetheless, she's still taking the trip to Mexico, but isn't coming back to teach in person, i'm so baffled that a teacher is able to just cancel synchronous learning at their own whim and not notify staff or not find a substitute to replace.
