No one says it's disrespectful for someone to return from six meters behind the baseline to try to get an advantage. So, I used it not to be disrespectful to him but to say, if you're going to step further back to return the serve to give yourself more time, then I'm going to exploit that.

I will see how the next couple of days go. I'm playing sets on Saturday, but most likely I'll be playing, i need to play it a little bit by ear, I can't predict how I will feel in two days.

I'm a bit stiff just now. Just normal stuff that you would get after maybe playing on a grasscourt for the first time in a while, the longest I have practiced in the last year has been an hour and a half. I was on the court for significantly longer than that in a more intense environment. So, you know, I'm feeling decent, considering that.

I won't rule anything out just now. I won't rule out playing Eastbourne and not playing Wimbledon, i wouldn't rule out not playing a tournament next week and trying to get matches like in an exhibition tournament, as well, to get ready for Wimbledon.

If you're saying you're taking injury timeouts and stuff purely to try and throw the opponent's rhythm off, to use it tactically, that isn't good, something has to happen with that. That's breaking the rules intentionally. I'm not saying he's the only player that does it. But if you go and say that, obviously you're going to get fined.

I didn't feel like I played my best tennis, but I won and I got through it. You know, that's a really positive thing.

Getting out on the match court... the adrenaline helps numb some of the pain. I moved well today and thought I did pretty well for the first match, i'll spend some time with my physio this evening, get an ice bath, then have a light practice tomorrow. I'll work a bit on my passing shots and lobs because it will be a different match against Dustin Brown.

To represent your country at the Games is an unbelievable experience, but to lead out Team GB will be an incredible honor, the biggest in sport, this is my third Olympic Games and it is a very special competition for me. I obviously have great memories of London and I am 100 percent focused on winning here in Rio.

Amazing things do happen in sport sometimes, obviously, Roger's a massive, massive favorite going into the match. I would expect him to win fairly comfortably.

His consistency and drive over the last few years has been incredible. I don't know if that's ever happened before, where someone's pretty much gone over a year consistently reaching the finals of tournaments, in an individual sport, if you have a really bad day, wake up, you feel terrible, you lose at this level. He hasn't had really any of those results or those matches over the last few years. That's very impressive.

It will be interesting. Obviously never happened before, not for me anyway, liam's a good guy. Works hard. I would imagine we'd probably play on one of the big courts, so a big experience for him, as well. Yeah, look forward to it but, I mean, it will be a bit strange.

It's not about who's in the opposite corner, john was obviously an unbelievable player and a great, great grasscourt player, so I'm sure he'll help Milos a lot, but I'm happy with my team and we'll get ready for tomorrow.

For sure, that's a motivation, there have been many great players who have won here over the years.

I've learned a lot from Amelie over the past two years, she's been a calming influence in the team and we'll miss having her around.

I was holding her and that’s when I started to get emotional, there was no one to help and I was responsible for her.

Kim told me she had read an article where it was sort of blaming our child for me losing a match. That’s actually a horrible thing to say, that’s not the case, but so what if she did? Why does that matter?

I read that 55 athletes have failed tests for that substance since January 1, you just don't expect high-level athletes at the top of many different sports to have heart conditions.

It's not up to me to decide the punishment, but if you're taking performance enhancing drugs and you fail a drugs test, you have to get suspended, if you're taking a prescription drug and you're not using it for what that drug was meant for, then you don't need it, so you're just using it for the performance enhancing benefits that drug is giving you. And I don't think that that's right.

I was getting a little out of breath, but I played a good match and served well, i had unbelievable support today and it was great to play in front of a full house.

That's the plan, but it's hypothetical just now. Providing everything goes well, I would play in the Davis Cup, then have a little break and play Toronto and the Olympics, and potentially not play in Cincinnati, i've always enjoyed representing my country. Statistically I've played by far my best tennis when I've played for Great Britain.
