This interesting tradition started in 1887! based on many immigrant folklores from European countries. If Phil sees his shadow and returns to his hole, he has predicted six more weeks of winter-like weather. If Phil does not see his shadow, he has predicted an “early spring." After getting buried in 36 inches of snow in a single monster snowstorm, we surely deserve an early spring, as early as tomorrow!
