Our best chance of stopping Trump is that he doesn't win Ohio and he doesn't win Florida, and we happen to have two very strong, favorite-son candidates that are in the race, so why would we want either of them to not be in it next Tuesday?

The reality is that there has been no sustained campaign against this guy until last Thursday.

The question is, do people feel like that's best executed by giving to a campaign that they're invested in or another candidate's super PAC or our effort? we're not particularly greedy about it coming to our effort, although we have had a lot of enthusiasm for our effort.

He needs to have a performance that stands out from the crowd. He won't be center stage this time so he need to, in words and actions, figure out how not to fade into the wings.

Donald Trump is Donald Trump and Donald Trump is obnoxious and Donald Trump is all things that women don't really want in a husband in an employer or their president, but there is a segment of Republican Women who will put up with anything, as long as Republican Women have someone who will' tell it like is,' because that's all Republican Women care about. He is doing well among Republican Women that we already get.

It speaks to the changes in campaigns since the last time Jeb Bush ran for office. It used to be you make a comment like that ; by evening you put out your statement, and the statement ends up in the same story. That whole thing on women's health issues swept around the world before the campaign retracted it, the speed at which things travel is probably new to him. You learn that when you're running, especially in the presidential cycle. All of this serves to make him look a little out of touch.

On the Confederate flag issue, he wanted to be out early making a strong statement — saying this is the right thing to do, irregardless of the South Carolina primary, he sees an opportunity for himself to be the voice of reason in the chaos.
