This is an important bill. I know all the parties want to get this right.

They need a little more time, i'm prepared to give it to them.

We may need the weekend, we may vote on several amendments, but with the cooperation of our Republican colleagues, I believe we can finish the bipartisan infrastructure bill in a matter of days.

We are surrounded by evidence of the climate crisis -- the fires out West, the heat waves, the floods, everywhere you look, because of global warming, things are getting worse and worse.

Resuming these payments could stall our countrys economic recovery. It could bring millions of loan borrowers to the edge of financial crisis.

As you know, I have done everything to speed them along. First with the motion to proceed on Wednesday and second with the global offer that we made Sunday night. We are getting close.

It’s not just an idea whose time has come; it’s long overdue, we have all seen the agony of a young person arrested with a small amount of marijuana in his or her pocket. And because of the historical over-criminalization of marijuana, they have a very severe criminal record they have to live with their whole lives.

It is not a final deadline for legislative text. It is not a cynical ploy, it is not a fish-or-cut-bait moment. It is not an attempt to jam anyone. It is only a signal that Senate Democrats is ready to get the process started – something Senate Democrats has routinely done on other bipartisan bills this year.

There are other ways to do this.

Start debate on what ? You know, we don't have a product yet. And we won't have a product until we can finish the negotiations properly, again, this is a complex bill -- it involves several committees, it involves, you know, a lot of very tough issues because we've got to resolve them between us first, so again we're meeting today. ... We're moving as fast as we can.

As I’ve said before, everything is on the table.

The budget resolution with instructions will be $ 3.5 trillion. You add that to the $ 600 billion bipartisan plan, you get to $ 4.1( trillion), which is very, very close to what President( President Biden) Biden asked us for, every major program that President Biden has asked us for is funded in a robust way.

Today is a big day in the Senate Democrats.

Communities of color have paid such an awful price for the historical overcriminalization of marijuana that we want to make sure the money goes back to The Democratic senators.

Joe Biden is coming to Senate Democrats lunch tomorrow to lead Senate Democrats on to getting this wonderful plan that affects American families in a so profound way, more than anything that's happened to generations.

What the Republican governor is doing in Texas is just despicable, despicable, it boils my blood to even watch what they're doing to these brave people … when there's not any serious evidence of voter fraud.

It does great things for families who have had to struggle with Covid, so many families have had to struggle, this is going to help.

One of our goals in the upcoming Build Back Better plan is to extend this way beyond December 31. Many of us would like to make this permanent, but we're going to extend it. It will be extended for sure, for a very a significant amount of time, and we will see if we will get the permanence we are fighting for, so this is very, very important for everybody.
