It's not often we play in the rain, so it was a bit different... the balls were a little bit heavier, a little bit different, but that's the special thing about the French Open.

Our team just shows how much spirit we have, how much we're motivated, all weekend we played amazing tennis and Teenager Borna Coric produced unbelievable tennis( in) the deciding rubber.

It was a big mental fight, especially after losing that fourth set, physically, it was very demanding.

Key today was finding my rhythm on the serve, especially toward the end of the third set, i was having trouble a little with my movement after I twisted my ankle in the second set. That was causing me a little trouble, but in the end it’s pretty good.

I'm happy with the fighting spirit today, just accepting that I wasn't playing so well, for sure( being defending champion always has some weight to it.

This court is very special for me, brings back special memories, it's sort of unreal. I was working all my life to win a grand slam and now I'm in position to defend one.

The most special Slam is Wimbledon, of course. But where I feel the best is Melbourne. And you're happy that you're playing. When you get to the middle of the season, everything is week after week, and it's all routine. But when it's Melbourne in January, you are fresh and you want to play. It's nice.

Probably around 14, when I was finishing primary school. I'm coming from a pretty small city in Croatia, not too many options to train, not too many players. So I had to either choose to stay at home to do more school or move to Zagreb to the national training center. That was when I made decisions to do something better in tennis.
