So, here is I think why this statement was totally outrageous, for two reasons. One, they said it should have never been passed in the first place. I talked to our Speaker of the House after that statement came out ; he said they never contacted him while they were working -- while it was moving through the House of Representatives in Florida. They didn't say anything about it.

Florida has become the escape hatch for those chafing under authoritarian, arbitrary and seemingly never-ending mandates and restrictions.

We set up these centers this summer when we started to see the delta variant rear its head, and it worked. We were keeping tens of thousands of people out of the hospital, saved thousands of lives. No one disputes that, well, as that was happening in September, the federal government decided to seize control of the monoclonal antibodies and cut supplies to Florida and Texas, mainly.

I wish the vaccines were sterilizing, but they're not providing that type of an immunity, so to just not deal with treatment and be hostile to people like me who are, it shows so much of this is about a political agenda.

If the corporate press nationally isn't attacking me, then I'm probably not doing my job, so the fact that they are attacking me is a good indication that, you know what, I'm tackling the big issues. We're going after critical race theory. We're fighting back against Biden's mandates. We're fighting back against illegal immigration – all those things that a vast majority of Floridians and Americans want to see done but that does threaten the ruling class and the regime.

If you look at the people that are being admitted to hospitals … over 95% of them are either not fully vaccinated or not vaccinated at all, these vaccines are saving lives. They are reducing mortality.

Prior to the federal government takeover of the monoclonal market, Florida successfully distributed approximately 30,000 doses per week when we managed our own supply, the state has more than $800 million available to quickly deploy monoclonal antibody treatments throughout the state, and the only thing holding us back is the insufficient supply of treatment from the federal government.

I think that’s an important distinction to make when you have a variant like omicron which is much more widespread, you are going to have people who get into a car accident and go into the emergency room. They’re swabbing everybody, and you’re going to have people that have incidental positives.

If you've seen what's happened over the past year and a half in this country – Florida, we stood up for your freedom, we stood up for your rights, we were not going to let government take away the rights that are the gift from God, not from government.

That was wrong. … That was an agenda at play. They were using this to be able to erode your rights and your liberties and here's the thing, they can't take away your freedoms, they can't take away your rights to worship, to go to church, and to give thanks to God, in Florida, you can mark it down, we will not let anyone shut you down and we are gonna make sure our rights are respected. That's what we've done and that's what we will continue to do.

I'm also grateful the state of Florida has, out of 50 states, the best first lady of all 50 states, my wife.

At the end of the day in Florida, Floridians know we will not let anybody lock them down. We will not let anyone take their jobs.

If you look at how these major companies behave when faced with Chinese disapproval, they censor what the CCP tells them to censor, and we see groveling apologies.

And so in Florida, people are going to be able to make those decisions. We do put a lot of emphasis, unlike most states and certainly unlike the Biden administration, on early treatment, when people do get infected and it's not just unvaccinated, like they like to say, our monoclonal antibody clinics that we set up across the state, the majority of people that go to those are fully vaccinated, high-risk people. And so since we've rolled out our monoclonal antibody clinics, we've had one of the lowest hospitalization rates in the country.

I think most people that come here would say we have better roads, infrastructure, services, our K-12 schools perform higher, we have the number one rated public university system in the country. And we do all that with no state income tax and in fact have the lowest per capita tax burden in the country. And we have over $15 billion in surplus revenue.

We are going to create a separate office at the state level solely dedicated to investigating and prosecuting election crimes in the state of Florida. We’ll [have] sworn law enforcement officers as part of this, we’ll have investigators, we’ll have the statewide prosecutor that’s able to bring the cases, i guarantee you this: The first person that gets caught, no one is going to want to do it again after that.

I don’t even think we should have drop boxes.

Florida’s civics curriculum will incorporate foundational concepts with the best materials and it will expressly exclude unsanctioned narratives like critical race theory and other unsubstantiated theories.

Florida voters are choosing the Republican Party over Florida Democratic Party because we value freedom and liberty and reject Democrat-led government control. This milestone moment reflects years of hard work, combined with the success of our common-sense conservative policies.

We want to be able to have a quick response capability, re-establishing the Florida State Guard will allow civilians from all over the state to be trained in the best emergency response techniques and have the ability to mobilize very, very quickly.
