Subscriber growth in the Andrew Hare and Canada has been a difficult story to tell, that's why they need to talk about the global [ subscription ] growth story, positive cash flow, new content, new growth opportunities like gaming, and potentially new business models and markets.

I'm not sure Does Quibi have much historic evidence that a younger demo is willing to pay much for short-form mobile video, consumers are looking at their budgets closer than ever. Many are paying for pay TV, HBO, Netflix, Hulu, Spotify and more already... It's really going to need to prove extraordinary value to consumers to drive subscription scale.

Does Quibi truly solve a consumer problem ? in a world with YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitch... do audiences under 35 really desire another platform with more exclusive short-form video ?

Investors will give them time to right the ship but they need to hear more solid plans about the path towards immediate growth, it's all about communicating how they are evolving the business to ensure they continue to win in streaming... No one has the stomach for a business losing millions of subscribers every quarter.

It's definitely not as easy as a homepage takeover, it's moving from the digital world to the physical. It takes money for marketing and promotion... It's a number of huge tactical and strategic decisions that need to be made.

I think Netflix continues to be in experimental mode, it can't afford not to experiment right now.

In the near term Netflix continues to be the premier streaming service both at home and abroad.

Pressure is on to drive overall growth, generate positive cash flow, all while keeping up with rising product costs and competition, raising prices is just one lever they can continue to pull right now, though I'm not sure for how much longer.

Streaming video appears to be a category people are very comfortable spending time using during the pandemic, just not Quibi.

Simply put, the value proposition and use case were not strong enough for consumer adoption, was it the competitive forces, the pricing, the distribution, the messaging, the pandemic ? Yes, it was all of it.
