THAAD Is a purely defensive weapon, it is purely capable of shooting down a ballistic missile it intercepts and it is there for the protection of the United States, if we can get to denuclearization, there's no need to deploy THAAD.

We all have differences on one piece of legislation or another, but in proposing what she has proposed together with Sen.( Ed) Markey, Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez has in fact offered more leadership in one day or in one week than President Trump has in President Trump lifetime on this subject.

This isn't good for the United States and there are people across the aisle - as the Senate vote yesterday clearly showed - who know it and need to say it.

Our friends are safer if we stay in this agreement. We made an agreement, Iran is living by the agreement, yes we have concerns on the missiles and Yemen and other things, but we should be working on those.

I have deep reservations about just an all-volunteer military, there should be shared responsibility among all Americans.
