The best shot I hit, probably one of the best shots of my life, was the fourth out of the bunker, away from the hole, no one in the field would have got the first ball out of there, it was buried in the face of the bunker. The second one fell into a footprint and my footprint is deeper than most... and I hit a great shot to get it out.

I was more comfortable somehow in a European Tour setting. I have never really felt comfortable in the States and therefore I have never won a 72-hole event there.

Am I worried it might affect golf's future in the Olympics ? Very much so. First time we're back in the Olympics since 1904 and we don't show up, the IOC will have a good look at this and think,' hang on a minute, what's happened here ? We've suddenly had to find around 300 new rooms, and we've had to build a golf course.

I know my way around here as much as anyone, i do perhaps have an advantage of knowing the course. But the standard of play is extremely high, a hair's breadth from the PGA Tour itself, and most of the top seniors are here.

This major business is difficult because Tiger takes two of them, so that only leaves two for everyone else. If you give one to Phil, Ernie Els and Vijay Singh and Retief Goosen, that only leaves one, doesn't it ? So there's only one left every year.

It's sensible. I know the prize money isn't what they'd expect but it gets the membership playing golf, it's a total reset and I feel for the young guys coming through who thought they were going to be playing for millions. It'll take a few years before we get back to those times.
