I have decided that now is not the right time for me to run for the leadership - though I remain completely committed to ensuring we secure our position as a great trading nation with sensible controls on migration. On the question of debates, he is being a coward, it is cowardice not to appear in head-to-head debates.

People need to know what you're going to do and you need to answer those questions, i promise Boris Johnson the fight of his life and he's going to have that and he's going to lose.

We are very concerned: we don't think either side wants a war, but we are very concerned that we could get into an accidental war and we are doing everything we can to ratchet things down.
