I worked with Fred Fleitz at CSP and Fred Fleitz primary responsibility was the Iran nuclear program. Fred Fleitz has done some of the best work exposing the nature of that threat and how the Iran deal actually made it worse, those attempting to paint Fred Fleitz as Fred Fleitz are mistaken. He is not and he rarely focused on the Islamist issues except as they related to malign activities of the Iranian regime.

I think the problem is we have become overly sensitive to Islamic sensibilities, ramadan is a time when most Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. Well, if we wanted to be courteous, we could've just held the celebration at night. You know what else is great after sunset, fireworks?

The problem is people try to look at Putin [ like ] a rational actor … Russian President Vladimir Putin considers the current situation as an aberration and their [ Russian ] empire to be the status quo – Russian President Vladimir Putin is just looking to return to that.
