The states that we have seen a slowing of permits have primarily been these Constitutional Carry states where a permit is no longer required, indeed some of those states have even seen a drop in the number of permits even though the number of people carrying in those places has undoubtedly gone up.

A poll by( the) Pew( Research Center) helps to explain why there has been such a large increase in concealed handgun permits among blacks and women. The poll shows a 25 percentage point increase in the proportion of blacks with a favorable view of gun ownership. This is the largest increase of any group.

We are all looking for magic bullets to stop crime, but it creates real problems, it prevents 20-year-old women who were stalked from having guns for protection.

What is so frustrating is that they don’t want to consider doing something that would work, like dealing with the fact that 98 percent of the mass public shootings keep on occurring in places where we ban general citizens from defending themselves, these killers keep saying that they pick places where people don’t have guns to protect themselves.

News stories tend to not mention the race of the officer when the officer is black, because most of the black officers we found we found by looking at department photos, not news stories, that was not true of white officers.

This case illustrates how extreme the District of Columbia’s opposition to concealed carry has been, here you have law enforcement who are offering to protect others for free, and the District has borne large legal costs to stop them from doing it.

It’s possible criminals just realized that it was easier to commit crimes on the subways than they had previously realized, you may simply have a copycat effect.

Even just a few people or even a couple who might be armed at a school can make a big difference in terms of whether or not terrorist types attack there, it is amazing how these killers talk explicitly about picking targets where they know victims cannot go and defend themselves. … where people are not armed and not able to stop them.

Just look at the illegal download of television shows and movies, millions of copies have been downloaded and the government has been unable to stop it. Why would the government be successful in stopping other information like these files from being downloaded?

The problem is the people who need guns the most and benefit the most from owning gun, poor individuals in high crime areas, are priced out of the market, who do they think they are disarming as a result of the law ? It is minorities in poor crime areas, not some wealthy guy who can afford to purchase the firearms at a higher cost.
