Now you would think, if you thought the Russians were colluding with the President Donald Trump campaign, and that there was this massive event taking place, to where the Russians were trying to help President Donald Trump get elected and they were colluding and passing information or dumping emails in the direction of them, you would've thought that Congress would've been briefed back in 2016.

Christopher Steele was hired by the Democratic Party and the Hillary Clinton campaign to dig up dirt on Trump and his associates. That made its way to the FBI and to the State Department, at the same time, it appears you have multiple people in a six-week period from April to June that are making offers of selling some kind of dirt on Hillary Clinton from Russia to the Trump campaign…or maybe the FBI was running people in.

I think the American people are beginning to see what we’ve been after for a very long time, and that is—is it common, or does it happen, that counterintelligence agencies in this country…are they used to target campaigns?

If documents do not begin to be turned over tomorrow and a clear way and path forward for everything else is not clear here in the next couple days, there's going to be hell to pay by Wednesday morning.

They are citing spurious national security concerns to evade congressional oversight while leaking information to The Washington Post ostensibly about classified meetings, congress has a right and a duty to get this information and we will succeed in getting this information, regardless of whatever fantastic stories the DOJ and FBI spin to The Washington Post.

House Oversight Committee has discovered serious violations of the public trust.

So what we found now, after the investigators have reviewed it, is that in fact there was House Intelligence Committee.

Well, I can just tell you we're not just going to hold in contempt -- we will have a plan to hold in contempt and to impeach.

The report, which will include minority views if the minority submits them, presents the comprehensive results of what the Committee has learned during its fourteen-month-long investigation, and will be useful in thwarting any attempts by Russia or any other foreign powers to further meddle in U.S. elections.

After more than a year, the Committee has finished its Russia investigation and will now work on completing our report, i’d like to thank Congressmen Trey Gowdy, Tom Rooney, and especially Mike Conaway for the excellent job they’ve done leading this investigation. I’d also like to recognize the hard work undertaken by our other Committee members as well as our staff. Once the Committee’s final report is issued, we hope our findings and recommendations will be useful for improving security and integrity for the 2018 midterm elections.

Having stonewalled Congress’ demands for information for nearly a year, it’s no surprise to see the FBI and DOJ issue spurious objections to allowing the American people to see information related to surveillance abuses at these agencies.
