This apology is 41 years too late, on behalf of the 5-year-old kid that I was Councilwoman Michelle Kennedy and the terror that that sparked for me and the fear that I saw in people's faces for the first time in ways that as a White woman I will never fully understand, I am sorry for what the city of Greensboro failed to do on that day and for the things that we did.
