There's a lot of interest in hedging scrap and rebar ... what's preventing us is a lack of liquidity in (existing) contracts so having a market maker would be lovely to see.

I've been asked by a few people to trade iron ore on the CME and I was worried because of liquidity, but now that volumes have increased I'll consider it.

Having market makers would make a huge difference. In the current steel contracts there are no market makers, if it's true that there's market makers, we'll be using it, but until I see it I'll doubt it very much.
