These actions seemed to be an effort to intimidate parents and control the optics by arbitrarily restricting the capacity of parents and community members allowed in the boardroom.

The allegations of assault, and allegations of collusion by the Board President are reprehensible, and neither party should be allowed to make decisions that involve the over 45,000 women and children in our school district.

I'm calling for County Attorney Dee Hobbs to drop these charges because the [Round Rock ISD] police answer to the superintendent in their chain of command, and the police were likely directed by the superintendent to keep the public out of the Sept. 14 meeting due to a last-minute policy implemented by Dr. Azaiez, this restricted seating capacity policy was being applied nowhere else in the district – only in that board meeting room, during that meeting.

The superintendent was using school district police to keep community members out of the meeting while talking about raising their property taxes, i asked the board to stop the meeting and let the people in. My arrest seems to be a clear tactic to silence me and other community members.

I believe I was arrested on 9/17/21 to intimidate me and other parents and community members from continuing to speak out against the superintendent and five of the school board members, we believe we were intentionally targeted for arrest to silence our voices because we were speaking out against the school district for illegal activity.
